Owning a parcel in the Beautiful custom home development of Sand Pointe will offer the priviledge to enjoy the local natural environment and beauty of seaside living. A lifestyle few have the chance to recognize the reality can only dream of doing. Humboldt County real estate property values are still most affordable to many people relocating to the rugged North Coast rural communities compared to more expensive suburban cities and higher real estate property values of the coastal seaside communities along California's prestigeous coastline.  The custom home development of Sand Pointe offers to you daily luxury escaping to path ways on trails to explore made for biking, walking, jogging, horse equestrian riding, or just strolling along with your family pet dog. Hammond Trails is 5.5 miles that will stretch in one direction to Arcata and beyond and in the opposite direction all the way to Clam beach. Hammond Trails known popularly and recently officially acknowledged as part of the 1,200 miles of the California Coastal Trails intended to stretch one day all the way to Oregon up north and south to Mexico.  Humboldt County received grant money to improve these trails and the plans are to extend the Hammond trails all the way south past Eureka to the Elk River at present and to add beauty and make them more walking friendly. I attended the recent public meeting held at the Eureka Warfinger Building on the Waterfront Drive and had opportunity to hear and listen to the wonderful plans in the making and the vision of visitors and local communities to enjoy these trails and benefit from all the improvements coming soon. On a recent adventureous walk at the end of Oceanside Street in a nearby seaside development to my sellers listing and community of Sand Pointe I happened to walk the new improved Hammond Trails at the end of the Oceanside Street. The pathways wind off in many different directions in rich lavish Redwood trees and ferns with newly graveled walk way paths. Each one leading to a pleasant surprise of scenery. I did not have my camera with me at the time, however I must go back and take pictures to up load to share all the beauty.  I witnessed first hand how the grant money is being spent to improve many of the trails. I was so pleased and so excited with all the beauty I experienced. the newly laid gravel made the walking on the paths very easy and comfortable. Plants were trimmed back so the pathes were clear for safe walking. They are making little private sitting areas that view out over the Mad River and out to the Oceans Horizon with park sitting benches. They are building stairways to more private sitting platforms above the Mad River and stairways down close to the Mad river in a few such locations of these trails. The carefully maintenanced pathways offer plenty of adventure for multiple families and privacy too. I was so pleased with all I learned on this days outing. At the end of Bird Road I came to an entrance to the Hammond Trail again and walked along the Mad River. This bright sunny crispy day calmed my spirit. God gave me an opportunity to know he and his presence was there. I saw a friendly but shy Ecret so gracefully perched in the grasses. I watched the calm Mad River Water and noticed a seal swimming up and past me. As I noticed him, I tried to make conversation with him, but he was shy too, and down under he went. Finally I noticed him swimming up river instead of down river. He swam away from me and not in the mood for friendly conversation at all. Just knowing he was there was comforting and geat joy to experience.
